DescriptionThis glass jug from the third or fourth century CE is made from dark greenish blue glass with red streaks. It has a wide mouth, tapering neck, and a rounded body that narrows at the base. The handle curves from the shoulder to the rim and ends in a flat tab pressed against the top. Small round marks are scattered on the shoulder, and the jug was shaped by blowing molten glass and refining it by hand.
