DescriptionThis glass jug from the fourth century CE has a pear-shaped body with curved ridges. The body was formed in a mold and then twisted while hot, creating the swirling pattern. A strap-shaped handle with raised ribs was added and attached at the rim. Decorative coils encircle the neck and base, which ends in twelve small toes.
