DescriptionThis glass jug from the fourth century CE has an oval body and a narrow neck. The body was formed in a mold to create 41 vertical ribs, then expanded. The neck and mouth were shaped by hand, and a handle was added and bent into a loop at the top. Coiled glass threads decorate the rim and neck.
