DescriptionThis glass jug from the sixth century CE is made from dark opaque glass with streaks of reddish brown. The body was shaped in a patterned mold and the neck and rim were shaped by hand. A single handle, made from translucent blue-green glass, was attached from the shoulder to the rim. The neck is decorated with a coiled thread, and the body has 25 vertical ridges from shoulder to base.
