DescriptionMedium thin glass. Blowing spirals.
Opaque blackish red (5 R 22) with opaque dark reddish brown streaks (near 10 R 3/4). Translucent grayish blue green (5 BG 5/2) handle and neck coil.
Body blown into a one-part patterned mold and slightly expanded. Neck and mouth free-blown. Pontil mark ca. 1.2 cm. Added thread. Excess glass at tip of handle folded back against top of handle.
Rim folded outward, upward, inward, and flattened, circular mouth. Concave neck. Gently sloping shoulder. Cylindrical body. Concave base. Curved coil handle applied to shoulder and attached to top of rim where it is pressed down to form a closed loop against the side of the mouth.
Around middle of neck, a neck coil trailed on from left to right with a buckle at the point of attachment. On body from below shoulder to base, 25 vertical mold-blown corrugations.
