DescriptionThis glass jug from the fourth century CE has a pear-shaped body and a ribbed handle. It was shaped by hand from thick glass with a greenish tint and decorated with threads of glass around the neck and rim. The handle forms a loop where it attaches to the top. A ring at the base supports the vessel, which may have been used for serving at the table.
