DescriptionMedium thick glass. Numerous pinprick and small spherical bubbles, elongated vertically in neck.
Translucent dark royal blue (not in rock color chart). Translucent pale olive coils and handle (10 Y 6/2).
Free-blown. No pontil mark. Added coils. Concave fold below lower application point of handle. Excess glass at top of handle folded back on top of handle and pinched into a small thumbrest.
Circular mouth; flaring rim rounded in flame. Cylindrical neck with slight downward taper and bulge above constriction at its base. Piriform body. Added base coil. Angular plain coil handle applied to center of body and attached to rim where it is pinched to form a small horizontal thumbrest.
Rim coil.
CLASSIFICATION: Jug Class IIA3a with plain coil handle IA2b.
