DescriptionThis jug from the fourth century CE is made of purple glass with a pale olive handle and coils. It has a rounded body that narrows at the top, a short neck, and a wide mouth. A handle runs from the shoulder to the rim, ending in a small thumbrest above the mouth. Coils of glass decorate the neck and rim.
