DescriptionMedium thin glass. Pinprick bubbles and small vertical linear bubbles in neck. Handle bubbly with black specks.
Transparent to translucent manganese colored grayish red purple (5 RP 4/2). Translucent pale olive handle and coils (10 Y 6/2).
Free-blown. Faint trace of pontil mark ca. 1.5 cm in diameter. Added coil. Excess glass at tip of handle snapped off and pressed into thumbrest. Flat toolmark on interior of handle where it was bent toward rim.
Flaring circular mouth; rim rounded in flame. Tall cylindrical neck with curved transition to shoulder. Sloping shoulder. Squat piriform body. Concave base with low, tooled kick. Straight, plain coil handle applied to shoulder and attached to side and top of rim, where it was folded upward and pinched flat to form a vertical thumbrest projecting above rim.
