DescriptionThin glass. Medium-sized bubbles, elongated diagonally in neck. Blowing spirals. Black specks in handle.
Transparent to translucent brownish yellow. Translucent similarly colored handle.
Free-blown. No pontil mark.
Flaring circular mouth; rim rounded in flame. Cylindrical neck with unintentional bulge below mouth and curved transition to shoulder. Sloping shoulder. Inverted conical body. Base with low tooled kick. Angular plain coil handle applied to shoulder and attached to upper part of mouth where it was folded upward and pinched to form a diagonal outward projection; a second pinched projection, parallel to the first, at application point.
CLASSIFICATION: Jug Class IA1a with coil handle IA2b.
