DescriptionMedium thin glass. Blowing spirals. Fabric cannot be determined because of weathering.
Transparent decolorized glass with manganese colored grayish red purple streaks (5 RP 4/2). Two translucent grayish red purple handles.
Free-blown. Pontil mark ca. 1.0 cm in diameter. Excess glass at tips of handles clipped off.
Rim rounded in flame above narrow projecting roll (open on half of vessel). Funnel neck. Gently sloping shoulder. Inverted conical body with slightly concave walls. Open pushed-in base ring. Two angular coil handles applied to shoulder, touched down to side of projecting roll, and attached to edge of rim where they protrude slightly inward.
CLASSIFICATION: Jar Class IV C 6 b.
