DescriptionStreaky transparent to translucent greenish-blue (between 5 BG 5/2 and 5 BG 4/6), with unintentional opaque dark reddish-brown streaks (10 R 3/4). Similarly colored handle and coils.
Pontil mark ca. 2.2 cm in diameter. Added coil. Excess glass at tip of handle folded back on top of handle. Medium thin glass. Bubbly; black specks and sandy impurities. Free-blown and tooled.
Flaring circular mouth; rim rounded and slightly thickened in flame. Tall neck with slight taper and with curved transition to shoulder. Near horizontal shoulder. Squat bulbous body with greatest diameter above center. Base round with base coil. Curved plain coil handle applied to shoulder and attached to center of neck where it was folded upward and back down to point of application forming an open loop at the top.
Rim coil.
CLASSIFICATION: Jug Class IA3a, with coil handle IA2a.
