DescriptionMedium thin glass. Bubbly. Blowing spirals.
Translucent to transparent dark blue with unintentional opaque dark reddish brown streaks (10 R 3/4). Similarly colored handle and coil.
Free-blown. Pontil mark of natural pale green glass ca. 1.3 cm in diameter. Added coil. Excess glass at tip of handle folded back into rim loop.
Flaring circular mouth; rim folded outward, upward, and inward. Concave neck with curved transition to shoulder. Bag-shaped body. High pushed-in base with kick and with hollow tubular base ring. Curved plain coil handle applied to shoulder and attached to mouth and rim where it is folded downward and back up to form a closed loop against the side of the mouth.
Rim coil from left to right with decorative triangular buckle at point of application.
CLASSIFICATION: Jug Class IA1a with curved coil handle IA2a.
