DescriptionMedium thin glass. Good quality with a few medium-sized vertically elongated bubbles in neck. Glass of base streaky (color not well fused).
Transparent to translucent manganese colored grayish red (5 RP 4/2). Translucent similarly colored coil and handle.
Free-blown. Pontil mark ca. 1.8 cm in diameter. Added thread. Excess glass at tip of handle folded up and back into loop.
Flaring circular mouth; narrow hollow rim, folded outward, upward, and inward. Tall slightly tapered cylindrical neck with curved transition to shoulder. Sloping shoulder. Globular body with greatest diameter just above its midpoint. Small blown base with flaring sides. Straight ribbon handle with two central ribs applied to shoulder and attached to top of rim where it is folded down over the rim coil to form a closed loop against the underside of the mouth.
Coil applied ca. 1.0 cm below rim.
