DescriptionPressed upright by a bench press in a female mold of two vertical sections that formed the body by a male plunger that formed the exterior surface of the knob above the upper rope border and the square cross-section hole, through which a metal bolt was passed to attach the knob to a bureau drawer or door. Moldmarks extend from opposite corners of the square hole on the base vertically through the bottom rope and side through the upper rope. The square hole is slightly tapered, decreasing from the outer face toward the base. Shear mark on side and part of base. Base ground with a stone wheel.
