DescriptionEntire piece pressed upright in a female mold of two vertical sections bearing the Ashburton pattern that formed the top of the foot, hexagonal stem, and bowl, with a base plate that formed the edge and bottom of the foot, by a plain male plunger. The moldmarks extend from the top edge of the foot vertically through the stem and right sides of the bottom row of panels, then curve to the left and upward to follow the contour of the upper panels, then to the right at their upper curves, and then vertically to the rim. Rim tooled to an everted form and fire-polished. Polished pontil mark.
