DescriptionPressed in a female mold of three vertical sections bearing the Cable pattern that formed the exterior of the piece except for the top edge of the fans and the underside of the foot, by a male plunger that formed the interior of the bowl and the top edge of the fans, in conjunction with a second male plunger, or plug, that formed the hollow interior of the foot and its slightly curved outer edge. The moldmarks extend from the lower edge of the foot vertically to the left edge of three of the cables to the outer right end of three of the fans. Three alternate panels are gilded with a stylized grapevine and grapes. No pontil mark.
