DescriptionEntire piece pressed upright in a female mold of three vertical sections bearing the so-called bull's-eye-and-bar pattern that formed the bowl and hexagonal stem, with three plain sections that formed a hollow cylinder at the lower end of the stem, from which the foot was formed by the Magoun and Sweeney patent methods (see 1990.66), with a plain, almost flat base plate that formed the underside of the foot, with a cap ring that formed the rim and the plain area below it, by a plain male plunger. The moldmarks rise vertically from the lower edge of the foot along the edges of alternate panels to the lower edge of the plain rim. No pontil mark.
