DescriptionEntire piece pressed upright in a female mold of three vertical sections bearing the so-called star-and-printie pattern that formed the outer edge of the foot, with a base plate with a shallow boss that formed the rest of the foot, by a plain male plunger that formed the top edge of the rim and the interior. The moldmarks extend from the underside of the outer edge of the foot vertically to the top of the rim. The vertical sections each extend horizontally inward at the bottom about 1.0 cm (1/3 in.) to form the outer edge and part of the underside of the foot. No fire-polishing. No pontil mark.
