DescriptionFont blown and finished by tooling. Joined by a multiribbed knop to a short square stem with chamfered corners above a four-stepped base with concave sides and rounded corners. Stem and base pressed upside down in a plain one-piece female mold by a tapered, ribbed male plunger whose cross section conforms to the exterior shape of the base, with a short plain section above that formed the plain band on the interior of the base and the undersurface of its perimeter. Very rough, sharp pontil mark on ribs opposite top of bottom step. Pewter collar machined and threaded.
