DescriptionJoined by a triple-ribbed cushion knop to an eight-paneled stem above a tier of three rounded steps above a square plinth with lobed corners and a shallow scallop on each side. Base pressed upside down in a plain female mold by a male plunger of circular cross section, tapered and with triangular ribs that formed the stem and base and with a square cross section at its upper end that formed the hollow square and underside of the perimeter of the base. Slight pontil mark.
