DescriptionThis inverted beaker (Jar Class IA3a) was formed from transparent natural pale green glass (5 G 7/2). It is made of medium-thin glass, with pinprick and small horizontally elongated bubbles near the rim and visible cords in the upper body. The vessel was free-blown and tooled without a pontil mark.
The beaker features a flaring, rounded rim, a concave neck, and gently sloping sides. Its walls broaden towards the bottom and terminate in a shallow, footed base. The shape and construction are consistent with Roman and early Byzantine utilitarian drinking vessels.
