DescriptionThis is a thick-walled hemispherical bowl made of opaque grayish blue glass (near 5 PB 5/2). The vessel was free-blown and abraded, and contains numerous small bubbles. It has a flaring rim that is rounded and thickened in flame, and a hemispherical body that terminates in a flat base with a solid pad, which may have been pinched but was more likely added. Approximately 1.1 cm below the rim, a cut-out collar projects externally. This form corresponds to Isings 1957, Form 69a (variation) and a variation noted by Vessberg.
