DescriptionOpaque cobalt blue glass on a body of translucent light greenish glass, fine quality. Circular medallion with Medusa head in deep relief cut. Convex round medallion of opaque blue glass, and molded theater mask filling entire disk. Broad face, raised arched eyebrows, large eyes with drilled pupils, large open drilled mouth. Leonine striated hair, with fillet at hairline and interwoven grape leaf wreath across temples. Clusters of sausage curls at nape of neckline.
