DescriptionCobalt blue glass.
Double profile of a bearded man's and a female's head, turned to the left; molded.
Opaque blue glass round medallion with flat back, apparently chipped away from its surroundings. Raised rim encircles two profile busts facing left with male in foreground but moved to right to let female bust show. Male bust has cape fastened around neck, neatly arranged curly beard and hair, and inspired expression. Female has garment on. Pleasant idealized visage and rolled locks held down under a fillet on temples. Probably Antonine in date, and perhaps is a portrait group of Marcus Aurelius and his wife, Faustina the Younger.
