DescriptionThis jar is made from thin glass that has become difficult to analyze due to weathering. The glass is transparent to translucent with a streaky manganese-colored moderate red tone (5 R 5/4).
It was free-blown, but the pontil mark cannot be detected because of weathering. The rim is rounded and thickened in flame with a visible tool mark on the interior. The tall concave neck has an interrupted curve and transitions smoothly into a sloping shoulder. The bulbous body reaches its greatest diameter above the midpoint. The base is flattened with a slight depression in the center. This vessel is classified as Jar Class IA3a.
