DescriptionThis vessel (Jar Class IA4a) was formed from thin glass by free-blowing and tooling. The glass has a transparent natural green tint, though its exact color cannot be determined because of weathering. The rim shows numerous small horizontally elongated bubbles and is rounded and thickened in the flame, with a visible tool mark on the interior. The jar has a short funnel neck and a sloping shoulder that transitions smoothly into a bulbous body, which reaches its greatest diameter at the midpoint. The base is concave. The pontil mark is not visible.
