DescriptionThis jar is made of free-blown and tooled glass. The glass is translucent to transparent with a manganese-colored very dark red tone (5 R 2/6). The pontil mark cannot be distinguished because of weathering.
The rim is folded outward, upward, inward, and downward. It has a funnel neck with a curved transition to the shoulder. The horizontal shoulder is partly concave, and the bulbous body reaches its greatest diameter above the midpoint. The base is flattened with a slight depression in the center. This vessel is classified as Jar Class IA.
