DescriptionThis vessel is classified as Jar Class IA2. It is made of medium thick, free-blown and tooled glass. The glass is transparent with a natural pale green tint (near 10 G 6/2) and shows visible blowing spirals and small bubbles. The pontil mark cannot be distinguished due to weathering.
The jar has a collar rim that is rounded in the flame with a cut-out below. It has a funnel-shaped neck with a concave transition to the shoulder and a concave shoulder. The elongated bulbous body has its greatest diameter at the midpoint. The base is flattened with a slight depression in the center.
Eight irregularly spaced oval indentations are present on the body.
