DescriptionThis small two-handled glass jar, called an amphoriscus, dates to between the 2nd and 4th centuries CE. It was shaped by blowing and tooling, with added decoration around the rim. The vessel is dark blue and shows small air bubbles and spiral marks from blowing. Two curved handles rise from the shoulder to the rim, where they fold over the edge.
