DescriptionThis small jar, made in the 2nd or 3rd century CE, is dark blue with green glass used for the rim, handles, and base. The rim flares irregularly and is wrapped with a coil, possibly to cover uneven edges. The neck is tubular with a bulge at the base, and the body tapers to a pointed bottom set on a small pad base. Two handles loop from the shoulder to the rim, folded into closed shapes. The jar shows signs of having been shaped and decorated while hot.
