DescriptionMedium thin glass. Small bubbles elongated diagonally in neck, oval in body. Blowing spirals. Transparent dusky yellow (between 5 Y 6/4 and 5 Y 5/6). Translucent streaky light olive (10 Y 5/4) handles. Body blown into a patterned mold and expanded. Neck and mouth free-blown. Pontil mark ca. 1.7 cm. Excess glass at tip of preserved handle drawn back against top of handle. Flaring hollow rim, folded outward, upward, inward, and downward. Tubular neck with constriction at its base. Gently sloping shoulder. Pointed body. Coil base forming knob. Two narrow bifurcated ribbon handles applied to shoulder and attached halfway up to neck. On body, closely spaced mold-blown corrugations curving from top left to bottom right and ten deep elongated indentations. CLASSIFICATION: Pointed Bottle (Amphora) I A 4 d with handles II A 2 a/d.
