Label TextThis clay mold for a ring bezel was excavated in 1922 by the Egypt Exploration Society at Akhetaten (modern Amarna), the short-lived capital of Pharaoh Akhenaten. It formed part of a group of molds used in the production of small personal ornaments. The piece was distributed to the Toledo Museum of Art that year through the EES’s official division of finds.
