Label TextThis clay mold was excavated in 1922 by the Egypt Exploration Society at Akhetaten (modern Amarna), the short-lived royal capital of Pharaoh Akhenaten. Used to produce amulets or ornaments, it was part of a group of molds recovered from workshop contexts at the site. The piece was assigned to the Toledo Museum of Art that same year.
