DescriptionThis shallow bowl is made of thick transparent grayish green glass (near 10 GY 5/2) pressed into a mold and later expanded by blowing. It was blown into a one-part patterned mold, then tooled, and has no pontil mark. The bowl features a thick rim that slopes inward and is ground, a shallow cylindrical body, and a slightly convex base. From the rim to just above the base, 48 vertical ribs decorate the sides, half of which can be felt as bulges on the interior. On the base, there is a honeycomb pattern of small hexagons which cannot be felt on the inside.
