DescriptionThis plate is made of medium-thin glass in a transparent natural pale green hue (5 G 7/2). Small and medium-sized bubbles, some horizontally elongated, can be seen throughout the glass. The plate was formed by free-blowing and tooling; no pontil mark is visible, and incrustation conceals traces of post-forming techniques.
The vessel is circular in shape with straight sides that curve at the bottom to meet a flat floor. The sides show faint tooled molding. The rim is rounded in the flame, with a vertical convex lip joined to the flat bottom by a rounded angle. A true flat tubular base ring is tooled out from the bottom, showing indistinct slanting tool marks from top right to bottom left on the interior and exterior.
