DescriptionThis bowl is made of medium-thick glass in a transparent natural moderate yellowish green hue (10 GY 6/4). A few small horizontally elongated bubbles are present in the glass. Gouges on the underside of the base ring indicate the use of a post technique. The vessel was formed by free-blowing and tooling. The bowl is circular in shape with a wide hollow rim that is folded outward, upward, and inward. The convex sides are outsplayed and curve inward toward a shallow rounded base. The flat floor is marked by a ledge where the base ring is formed. The true base ring is thick, flat, and slightly crimped, with slanting tool marks on the exterior and interior running from top right to bottom left. Flaking silvery and cream-colored iridescence reveals blowing spirals, with large areas of the original interior surface flaked off, showing yellowish-brown iridescence underneath.
