DescriptionThis is a carinated bowl made of cast glass that has been rotary-polished on both surfaces and cut on the interior. The bowl is cobalt blue in color. It has an almost horizontal rim with a flat edge, a carinated side with two convex curves, and a floor that is concave on the upperside and slightly convex on the underside. The outsplayed base ring was cast as part of the vessel and has a flat edge. A narrow horizontal groove is cut just below the rim on the interior. The bowl is intact but has a long crack on the side and bottom, with areas of iridescence, pitting, and patches of brown weathering.
