DescriptionDecanter: blown in a mold and finished by tooling. Body cut with eight panels and facet-cut on middle of neck, then engraved in the rock-crystal style, primarily with stone wheels, details with copper wheels, with stylized flowers (possibly a lance-leafed coreopsis, a member of the daisy family) on two sets of adjoining panels, with a stylized foliate motif on each of the other two intervening panels, with a flower (daisy) in each panel on the shoulder and fine, double-leaf geometric motif on each panel under the lip. Underside of base engraved with a pinwheel. Stopper: blown in a mold and finished by tooling. Sides cut with six panels and engraved with the same geometric double-leaf motifs as those under lip of decanter. Top engraved with one flower (daisy?). Shank and neck of decanter ground and polished for close fit.
