DescriptionLibbey no. 629 jug. Body blown in a paste mold and finished by tooling. Applied handle. Polished pontil mark. Body engraved, probably primarily with stone wheels, with details engraved with copper wheels, with a pattern of poppies, stems, and leaves. Exterior of handle engraved with a stylized flower at the top and three flowers at the bottom, each joined by a stylized leaf pattern, with geometric motifs between the two. Underside of base engraved with a circle formed of three tendrils of leaves.
