DescriptionLibbey no. 629 jug. Body blown in a paste mold and finished by tooling. Applied handle. No pontil mark. Body engraved in the rock-crystal style, probably primarily with stone wheels, details engraved with copper wheels, with a stylized pattern of orchids and tendrils. Exterior of handle engraved with flowers at the top and foliage below. Underside of base engraved in the rock-crystal style with a quatrefoil of tendrils.
