DESCRIPTION Fragment of rim and side of pyxis. Almost verti-cal rim, ground back on the outside to create a ledge for a fitted lid; vertical side with a rounded basal angle. On the exterior, two narrow horizontal grooves: one at the junction of the rim and side, the other just above the basal angle.
TECHNIQUE Assembled from lengths of cane and cast; rotary-polished on both surfaces; cut on the exterior.
