DESCRIPTION Fragment of side and bottom of Pyxis. Vestiges of a vertical side; rounded basal angle; flat bottom. Striped mosaic pattern formed from lengths of two alternating canes laid side by side in parallel rows and separated from one another by single lengths of a network cane. This pattern is repeated successively over the vessel.
TECHNIQUE Assembled from lengths of cane and sagged; rotary-polished on both surfaces.
