DescriptionThis Roman beaker has a sharply angled shape and rests on a flaring foot. The body was shaped in a mold with vertical grooves, then twisted and expanded to create a swirling ribbed design. A thread of glass circles the upper part of the body just below the rim. Its base and rim are thickened for stability and finish. The foot was made separately and joined to the body. The piece has a subtle yellow-green hue.
