DescriptionThis straight-sided bowl on a stem is classified as Isings 1957, Form 87 and Vessberg 1952, bowls C II a. It is made of medium thin glass that is transparent with a natural pale green tint (10 G 6/2). The fabric cannot be determined because of weathering. The bowl is free-blown with a pontil mark approximately 1.2 cm wide. An applied thread encircles the bowl about 1.0 cm below the rim. The outsplayed rim is rounded in flame. The sides are straight with a slight downward taper. The vessel has a solid stem and a broad, low, blown base with flaring sides. The edge of the base is rounded and thickened in flame.
