DescriptionThis vessel is made of medium thin glass that appears transparent natural grayish-green (near 10 GY 5/2), though the exact color is hard to determine due to weathering. The pontil mark is not detectable. The spout is applied, and excess glass at the tip of the handle is folded inward and upward against the neck.
The rim is everted and folded outward and upward. The tubular neck tapers slightly and transitions smoothly into a sloping shoulder. The spherical body rests on a concave base. A bifurcated ribbon handle with thickened edges was applied to the shoulder and attached to the underside of the rim, then folded down to just above the center of the neck. This vessel is classified as Isings 1957, Form 99 (variation).
