DescriptionThis aryballos is made of medium-thin glass in a transparent natural green hue; the exact color and fabric cannot be determined due to weathering. It is free-blown, tooled, and wheel-cut, with no pontil mark. The tips of the strap handles are pushed up and flattened against the rim.
The bottle features a collar rim folded outward, downward, outward again, upward, and flattened to form a brim. Its cylindrical neck has a tool mark at the base and transitions to a horizontal shoulder above a spherical body. The body has three bands of shallow wheel-cut incisions around its center. The base is flattened. Two strap handles run from the shoulder to just below the rim and are finished with a small spur on the rim. This form corresponds to Isings 1957, Form 61.
