DescriptionThis jar with a base ring and two handles is made from free-blown and tooled glass of medium-thin opaque white (near 5 B 9/1 or N 8). Small spherical bubbles are visible in the glass. The vessel has a flaring rim folded outward and downward, then upward; a tall cylindrical neck that curves into the shoulder; and an ovoid body with a slight indentation above the circular base area. The base is flattened with a central depression and an open, pushed-in tubular base ring. Two bifurcated handles, similar in color to the body, are applied from the shoulder to the rim, with their tips drawn out thin. There is no pontil mark. The jar is classified as Isings Form 15.
