DescriptionConical font blown and finished by tooling. Joined by two bladed knops and one cushion knop to the short stem above the base of three plain circular steps on a square plinth with cusped corners. Base pressed in a plain one-piece female mold by a male plunger of domed form with a plain end and the sides cut to form ten triple-sectioned wedges, with a flat cusped square above with ribbed edges and a slightly stepped shoulder to outline the ribbing and produce the flat undersurface of the perimeter of the base. Rough pontil mark in center of base. The vertical lip indicates that this lamp was intended to be fitted with a cork-supported tin burner.
