DescriptionFrom Amarna. Excavation Number 22/285A
Label TextThese two alabaster fragments were excavated in 1922 by the Egypt Exploration Society at Maru-Aten, part of the royal domain at Akhetaten (modern Amarna). They were distributed to the Toledo Museum of Art as part of that year’s formal division of archaeological finds. The excavation number indicates they came from the same context.Published ReferencesPeet, Thomas Eric, and C. L. Wooley, The City of Akhenaten Part I: Excavations of 1921 and 1922 at El-Amarneh, pl.
