Label TextExcavated in 1922 by the Egypt Exploration Society, this alabaster fragment comes from Maru-Aten, a palace complex at Akhetaten (modern Amarna), the short-lived capital of Pharaoh Akhenaten. It was discovered during official excavations at the site and distributed to the Toledo Museum of Art through the formal division of finds.
