Label TextThis inscribed alabaster fragment was excavated in 1922 at Maru-Aten by the Egypt Exploration Society, a prominent British archaeological institution. Maru-Aten was part of Akhetaten (modern Amarna), the capital founded by Pharaoh Akhenaten. This object is one of three related fragments from the same excavation unit (see 1925.658 and 1925.667) assigned to the Toledo Museum of Art in that year’s official division of finds.Published ReferencesPeet, Thomas Eric, and C.
